Bahrad Sokhansanj, JD, Assistant Research Professor from Drexel's College of Engineering, will discuss his upcoming Open Access journal article, Predicting the Outcome of Legal Proceedings Using Deep Learning, scheduled for publication in the journal Applied Sciences. 

 
About the speaker:  
Bahrad Sokhansanj is an Assistant Research Professor at Drexel University and works in the Ecological & Evolutionary Signal Processing & Informatics (EESI) Laboratory led by Professor Gail Rosen in the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering. Professor Sokhansani received a BS in Engineering Physics from the University of Saskatchewan and a PhD in Engineering-Applied Science from the University of California, Davis. After working as a postdoctoral researcher at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory and an Assistant Professor of Biomedical Engineering at Drexel University, Bahrad received a JD from Columbia Law School. As an attorney, Bahrad is currently pursuing research in cutting-edge machine learning methods with applications to genomics and law.
