Exhibit Opening & Tour -- WKDU: 50 Years of Student-Run Radio

Join current students, alumni, faculty, staff and members of the public for the opening of the exhibit WKDU: 50 Years of Student-Run Radio, now on display in the W. W. Hagerty Library.

The exhibit celebrates the 50th anniversary of WKDU—Drexel University’s free-format, non-commercial, student-run radio station—using artifacts, images and stories. The radio station has served as an important organization for Drexel and the Philadelphia community.

All members of the Drexel community are invited to attend this event, which will include: introductory remarks from University Archivist Matthew Lyons, and stories and personal histories from current and former WKDU DJs and station managers and communicators from the Black Experience in Music. Stick around for a tour of the exhibit and time for Q/A.

This event is free and open to the public. All guests must register to attend in advance & must follow Drexel University's COVID19 visitor policies when coming to campus.

The exhibit will be on display in the W. W. Hagerty Library September 13, 2021 – December 3, 2021.
