Building Connections to Scholarship: Using Web of Science and InCites: Develop Insights into your Scholarly Productivity

This webinar will introduce two powerful tools, Web of Science and InCites, which help analyze scholarly productivity and benchmark output against peers in a national or international context.

During this webinar, Drexel’s expert librarians will provide insights into these tools to help you find answers to your scholarly queries, such as:

  • How many times was a specific research paper cited?

  • What is the Citation Report? How can it help in learning more about Scholarly Productivity?

  • How do I import Citations from Web of Science into InCites for data analysis?

  • Which organizations have funded a specific research area at Drexel that has published articles with the highest number of citations?

Who should attend: Drexel faculty, researchers, staff and graduate students

Presented by: Jay Bhatt, Librarian, Engineering

Recorded sessions: If you can’t attend a live webinar, don’t worry! We will provide a link to the webinar recording following the event.

About the Building Connections to Scholarship Webinar Series:

Highly active research universities are dependent on strong connections to scholarship and research data output. At Drexel, the Libraries provides a variety of resources, support services and partnerships to facilitate and build such connections, from ensuring access to authoritative information to shaping future research by providing—and guiding the effective use of—tools and systems to facilitate global connections to Drexel-generated research output.

Through the Libraries new Connecting to Scholarship webinar series, expert librarians share their knowledge of these tools and systems to support Drexel faculty and researchers’ productivity and to prepare graduate students and professional staff for successful research practices.

Designed for anyone who does research, webinars in the series will address issues such as:

  • How to find funding through the Pivot database
  • How to navigate changes to the APA Style Guide 7th edition
  • How to choose a repository for your research
  • Using Sage Research Methods to demystify social science research
  • What’s new in PubMed
