Celebrating a Century of "The Triangle," Drexel's Student Newspaper: 1926 to 2026
W. W. Hagerty Library, 3300 Market Street, Philadelphia
Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm
Exhibition Dates:
Part One: February 2, 2026 – September 25, 2026
Part Two: April 2026 – September 25, 2026
Founded on February 1, 1926, as an independent, student-run newspaper, The Triangle has a rich history of covering campus events and student life, as well as the impact of historical events, from World War II and the Civil Rights Movement to COVID-19 and the UC Townhomes Coalition.
Celebrate Drexel’s student newspaper’s 100th year of publication with a two-part exhibit curated by the Drexel University Archives, in collaboration with current Triangle editorial staff and members of The Triangle Alumni Advisory board.
Part One of the exhibit includes historical issues of The Triangle from the last 100 years that showcase how the newspaper has changed over the decades. This exhibit is on display outside the University Archives' Reading Room on the lower level of the W. W. Hagerty Library.
Part Two, which will open in spring 2026, will be a larger, more extensive exhibition featuring significant highlights in the University’s history as covered by student reporters.
