TLC Book Group - Small Teaching: Everyday Lessons from the Science of Learning, James Lang

Join us for an informal discussion of James Lang's cult classic Small Teaching: Everyday Lessons from the Science of Learning (2021, 2nd edition). How can busy educators leverage the science of learning to make small interventions that yield significant learning gains? Written by a university professor for university professors, Lang’s volume offers a wealth of easy-to-implement, research-informed strategies that have the potential to transform our students’ learning experience. Participants receive a free copy of the book. Note: TLC will be offering a companion book group on Flower Darby’s Small Teaching Online, co-authored with James Lang, which applies Lang’s principles to online learning environments. You are welcome to register for one of the book groups, or both for a Small Teaching immersion experience!
