ScholarSip

Celebrate the last day of classes and join informal cross-disciplinary conversations with Drexel faculty and professional staff over drinks and refreshments at this quarter's ScholarSip event.

Jennifer Nasser, PhD, RN, associate professor at the College of Nursing and Health Professions will provide the evenings food for thought presentation. Nasser’s research focuses on food intake and dopamine. Recently, she was a guest on the Rachel Ray show for a segment titled Your Brain on Broccoli where she talked about how the human brain reacts to different types of foods.

Nasser’s clinical research focuses on dopamine-mediated mechanisms of food intake regulation in humans and its impact on metabolic homeostasis, especially as it applies to obesity, eating disorders and aging.

ScholarSip is hosted by Drexel University Libraries with guidance from a planning committee of Kenneth Lacovara and Devon Powers. For more information about ScholarSip or to suggest a future topic, please contact: Jenny James Lee at 215.571.4095 or jaj92@drexel.edu.
