ScholarSnack: An Introduction to Ethical Hacking of Internet of Things (IoT) Devices

Interested in learning how to easily conduct reconnaissance—the first state of ethical hacking—on Internet of Things (IoT) devices? Then join us for the Libraries’ next ScholarSnack event, where Drexel Teaching Professor Dr. Thomas Heverin will offer hands-on experience using Shodan, an online search engine for Internet-connected devices.

After learning some key concepts in cyber security, attendees will help discover devices such as building automation systems, data center cooling systems, security cameras, and more.

No experience in cyber security is necessary, and all Drexel students, faculty and staff are invited to attend this hands-on workshop.
