PITCH Competition

PITCH PROPOSAL DEADLINE EXTENDED TO FEBRUARY 1!

Interested in emerging technologies with profound impact? Pitch your own startup to make it happen during the College of Engineering's 2017 PITCH Competition!

Do you have an idea to solve the greatest grand challenges of civilization? As a Drexel student, you have access to the sum total of human knowledge and the latest tech breakthroughs through Drexel Libraries. Your challenge is to identify an emerging technology, and build a viable company to deploy to the masses.

To participate, please write a 1-page pitch of your proposed company, including citations to relevant scientific or technical literature (e.g. this means journal articles, conference articles, ebooks, standards, patents) to justify your idea on technical grounds. You may compete in 2-3 person teams or as individuals. Pitches should be submitted online by Wednesday, February 1, 2017.

On February 2nd, potential investors will hear 2 - 3 minute pitches from each company. Pitches should describe the company's technology and its impact. Investors expect you to quote literature to demonstrate technical proficiency with references to technical literature. Participants may use 1 - 2 PowerPoint slides, and use of PowerPoint is optional.

Pitches will be accepted online from January 10th to February 1st at 5:00 PM. Pitches will be delivered to a panel of investors on Thursday, February 2nd in the Bookmark Cafe at W. W. Hagerty Library.
