Patient-Worthy Medicine: The Art and Science of Evidence Based Practice

Hosted by Drexel University's Physician Assistant Department and The Division of Continuing Nursing Education

During this two-day conference, participants will be guided through the process of evidence-based practice by being provided with and practicing practical strategies for applying the art and science of medicine.

Distinguished, world-renowned international presenters including:

  • Dr. Allen Shaughnessy, Senior Editor of Essential Evidence Plus, Consulting Editor for Dynamed and co-creator of Information Mastery - Keynote Speaker
  • Dr. Edward Livingston, Deputy Editor for Clinical Content of JAMA, The Journal of the American Medical Association. Physician and PA faculty from the University of Worcester, England and Drexel University will also lecture on both days
  • Dr. Rod Jackson, New Zealand cardiovascular risk factor epidemiologist will discuss his GATE tool for critical appraisal
  • Dr. Janina Iwaszko & Mr. Neil Howie, PA-R from University of Worcester, England address understanding measurements of risk and randomized control trials

This program is not yet approved for CME credit. Conference organizers plan to request 12.75 AAPA Category 1 credits from the Physician Assistant Review Panel.
