Celebrate the last day of classes and join informal cross-disciplinary conversations with Drexel faculty and professional staff over drinks and refreshments at this quarter's ScholarSip event. Now in its fourth year, ScholarSip provides an opportunity for faculty and professional staff to gather for conversation – along with a toast to the end of the academic term. The event is a reception along with a brief “food for thought” presentation to highlight some of the great cross-disciplinary scholarship at Drexel. 

Jonathan Deutsch, founding director of the Center for Hospitality and Sport Management will speak at the event. By some estimates up to 40% of food in the US is wasted, everywhere along the chain from farm through plate. Jonathan will present on his research in this area and about what the Drexel Food Lab is doing to combat food waste through culinary innovation and create jobs in the process. A special menu featuring items from the Food Lab will be served.
