Memory of Spring: A Photography Exhibit

Spring is so impressive in my memory – it is beautiful, full of energy and strength and vibrant after a severe winter. An old Chinese saying says – a year’s plan starts with spring – because everything is brand new and full of hope.

Coming to the United States was starting a new journey for me – similar to the spring of a new year. I really wanted to share these wonderful Chinese spring scenes with everyone at Drexel University. I really appreciate the warm welcome that I have received from Drexel – specifically my advisor Albert Tedesco, my lovely classmates, and my dear friends who I met at Drexel, Karen, Hetao, Cary, Pengtao. You have all played important parts in my new life in the United States.

This exhibit is a collection of photographs from LiLi Mao, a graduate student in Television Management in the Department of Cinema and Television at Westphal College. The photographs were taken with friends and capture different cities and towns in Southeast China over the past five years. LiLi named many of the pictures after classical Chinese poems.
